SAWA Hiraki

Born 1977 in Ishikawa,Live in London/ Kanazawa.
2003 MFA Sculpture, Slade School of Fine Art, University College London

He received his BFA from the University of East London and his MFA from the Slade School of Art at University College London 2003. He lives in London. By combining images, 3D and 2D works, and developing a space / time installation composed of them, he expresses his own world view. From the repetitive movement that goes back and forth between one's own memory and the memory of others, he is developing a group of works that sheds light on a specific motif and raises a certain kind of universality and fragility and nostalgia.

This will be displayed at the Rokko Musical Box Museum & Gardens MORINONE venue in continuation from KOBE Rokko Meets Art 2024 beyond.Viewing is available year-round during venue hours.
