CHUANG Ho
Born 1985 in Taipei, Live in Taipei
2014 MFA in New Media Arts at the School of Film and New Media, Taipei National University of the Arts (Taiwan)
Animation artist. CHUANG’s practice centers on expanding the possibilities of hand-drawn animation. His work explores the almost ascetic labor inherent in the production process, as well as the ways in which emotions accumulate over time and within space.
His works are not depictions of actual scenes recorded in specific locations, but are instead selectively constructed through artistic intervention. Through observation and deconstruction, he transforms fragments of everyday life into visualized narratives that evoke a sense in which fiction and reality intersect, encouraging reflection on the essence of human existence.
From 2019 to 2025, He participated in the Nakanojo Biennale (Gunma, Japan). In 2024, His full-dome work Demo: Dome was screened at international festivals in Melbourne, Jena, and Prague.
