KOBE ROKKO MEETS ART is an art festival where visitors can take a relaxing walk through the natural beauty of Mt. Rokko and enjoy artworks along the way. Come and enjoy an art walk with magnificent views and delicious food!

Rokko-Shidare Observatory
This Mt. Rokko landmark offers sweeping views from an elevation of up to 888 meters. It returns as a festival venue for the first time in four years.

Chapel of the Wind
The Chapel of the Wind, designed by Tadao Ando, one of Japan’s leading architects, will be specially opened to the public during the festival.
Viewing Passport
Choose from a Day & Night Pass, Day Pass, or Night Pass, depending on the venues you wish to visit.
Your Viewing Passport will be stamped when you enter each venue. Use it on different days for any venues you have not yet visited.

- Public Transportation
Take a train, city bus, and cable car to Mt. Rokko.
From Hankyu Rokko Station, JR Rokkomichi Station, or Hanshin Mikage Station, take Kobe City Bus Route 16 or 106 bound for Rokko Cable Shita. The cable car takes about 10 minutes to reach Mt. Rokko.
- For Those Traveling by Car
Paid parking lots at the festival venues can be used with a common parking ticket for ¥1,000.
Pay at the first parking lot you use. We recommend starting at Rokko Musical Box Museum & Gardens MORINONE, where the main information desk is located.Higher parking fees may apply during busy periods. Please check the access information for details.
3. Get Ready and Head to Mt. Rokko!
Temperatures on Mt. Rokko change greatly during the festival season. On hot days in August, temperatures may reach around 30°C. The sun can be strong, so remember to use sun protection. Bring a hat or sun umbrella. In October and November, morning and evening temperatures may fall below 10°C. You may also need to wait outdoors for buses or the cable car, so dress warmly enough to spend a long time outside.
August – September- Wear short sleeves and bring an extra layer that is easy to put on or take off. A light jacket is useful when the temperature falls in the evening and can also help protect you from insect bites.
October - November- It may even snow near the end of the festival. Wear warm winter clothing, such as a down jacket and scarf.
Mt. Rokko is about 5°C cooler than the city, so the autumn leaves change color earlier. They are usually at their best from late October to late November.
