She began creating papercut works in 2001 while still a university student.
After graduating, she spent approximately one year studying art at the University of the Arts London. Working primarily with motifs such as women, the human body, insects, and plants, she has developed a distinctive practice that transforms delicate drawings into intricate papercut artworks. In addition to works that explore themes of femininity, spirituality, and perspectives on life and death rooted in her own experiences and sensibilities, she also addresses realities of contemporary society. Notable works include “Imitation,” which combines butterfly specimens with papercutting; “Kajitsu,” which generates different expressions through the interplay of papercuts and shadows; and “MAniMA,” a life-sized group portrait created using laser-cutting technology. Alongside exhibitions in Japan, she has also participated in group exhibitions in France and other international venues.
