UCHIDA Nozomu

Born 1987 in Kanagawa, Live in Tokyo
M.A.Department of Ceramic, Glass, and Metal Works, Tama Art University

He creates sculptural works inspired by animals and plants, primarily using metal materials such as iron and employing traditional metalworking and forging techniques. He has presented works at art fairs across Asia, including in Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. His practice focuses on living beings that coexist with humans in the same world while possessing different physical capabilities and inhabiting different environments. By combining creatures endowed with unique abilities by nature with technological devices—such as megaphones and boilers—developed by humans to extend their own capacities, he emphasizes the functions and characteristics inherent to each organism.
