HIRASAWA Kenji
Born 1982 in Tokyo, live in Tokyo, Japan
A photographer and contemporary artist based in Tokyo and London. After studying satellite-based remote sensing technology at Keio University (SFC), they earned an MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in the UK. By employing thermography to capture the internal light (heat) emitted by organisms, they create portraits that visualize biological phenomena. Their work explores the nature of life and memory in the post-digital age.
