An artist collective formed in 2023, primarily featuring artists based in Nagano Prefecture. The group's name, galaxy route nineteen, was inspired by their desire to infinitely unleash the imagination while working in a mountain village (Nagano's Kiso region) surrounded by the Alps and connected to the outside world by a single highway, Route 19. For them, Route 19 is a galactic highway.Centered on art projects that use sci-fi imagination to illuminate contemporary issues from a future perspective, the collective works across various genres, including painting, video, music, and ceramics. They also actively collaborate with local communities and artists from other disciplines. The membership is fluid, with teams assembled on a project-by-project basis. In their musical activities, they have released three albums to date, with their fourth album scheduled for release in June 2026.
