I create artworks by melting glass bottles. Glass bottles are industrial products designed as containers, yet they are also materials that melt and solidify under heat. Focusing on this dual nature, I dismantle their functional identity and present the process of returning them to glass as material.
My work develops through two approaches: melting multiple bottles into a single mass, and suspending bottles in a kiln so that heat and gravity gradually deform their form. In both, I minimize direct intervention and entrust the process to natural forces. The resulting forms—where individual bottles dissolve, accumulate, and eventually settle—suggest a continuity of existence through transformation. In this process, I reflect on cycles of death and rebirth, and the persistence of being beyond form.
