Artist in Residence KOBE (AiRK)

AiRK is artist-in-residence that began operating in April 2022 in the Kitano area, Kobe.
They aim to further activate Kobe culture through "Partnership Program in Kobe" which is a partnership with cultural facilities and organizations in Kobe City to host invited artists as residency facilities, and "Program by AiRK" and "AiRK OPENCALL," which promote exchange between the local community and artists by inviting artists from Japan and abroad and holding workshops and events in Kobe as AiRK's own programs.

Organizing members:HAAYMM
Hiroaki KOIZUMI, Ayumi KOIZUMI, Aiko OIZUMI, Yutaka ENDO, Mari MATSUSHITA, Mirai MORIYAMA

As with the previous year, they are showcasing performances curated by Mirai MORIYAMA, a member of AiRK. The title is: “Rokko Meets Art × Artist in Residence KOBE - Opening Performance for Kobe Rokko Meets Art - ‘Secret Ceremony - GOLD SHOWER’”.
This year’s performance will be “Secret Ceremony - GOLD SHOWER,” a special Kobe Rokko Meets Art version of “GOLD SHOWER,” which was created in 2020 by French performing artist François Chaignaud and Japanese Butoh dancer Akaji MARO. A tomfoolery of Western and Eastern Gods, a mythical performance that mixes the sacred and mundane, will unfold on the summit of Mt. Rokko.
