Rintaro FUSE

Born 1994 in Tokyo, Live in Tokyo.
2019 Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts

Amid the recovery of loneliness and “being two selves” in the city after the launch of smartphones, he writes poetry and critiques, produces video works, websites, and paintings, organizes independent lectures, and curates exhibitions, among other activities.
His major activities include the solo exhibition “Dead Corpus” (2022, PARCO MUSEUM TOKYO), “Planet Samsa,” a curation exhibit at an abandoned printing factory (2022, former site of Odaka Bookbinding Industry), “Silent Category,” an exhibition touring a former shipyard carrying a 600-page handout (2021, former site of Namura Shipbuilding (Creative Center Osaka)), and “Isolated Type Close Contact Chamber,” an exhibition held on a webpage accessible by only one person at a time (2020). He has participated in exhibitions including “The Timeless Imagination of Yves Klein” (2022, 21st Century Museum of Contemporary Art, Kanazawa) and “Does the Future Sleep Here?” (2024, National Museum of Western Art, Tokyo). He is the author of “Love Letter no Kakikata” (Shobunsha) and the poetry collection “Namida no Catalog” (Parco Publishing).
