Born in Kochi Prefecture, lives in Osaka Prefecture
The eternal themes are the immutable essence of nature, namely, life, death, and human love. The soul may be satisfied and healed by superficial beauty, but isn’t it perhaps through shaking the universal existence deep within the human being that healing is found when one falls into extreme sadness and suffering? I am simply drawn to things with great energy (high potential). I feel this is a fundamental human instinct. When great energy is given, the potential of matter increases, and the power hidden within it grows. I want to give energy to the people who see my works. The “Mirai Ningen White Man” is a pure figure created by Michiko Ike in the early 21st century, representing the desire of people to free the world from all inequalities and tragedies, such as race, gender, economic disparity, religion, and wars. I will never stop hoping that “Mirai Ningen White Man” will soar deeply and freely through the minds of people worldwide as equal earthlings.
