Pine Tree Club is an art collective formed in 2017 and based primarily in Japan. Its members are SUZUKI Yusuke, NOCHI Masataka, FUKANO Gentaro and Léo Allègre. The name comes from a pine tree that once stood in the Shimizu community of Matsudai, Tokamachi City—the site of the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial.
The collective works without fixed roles or predetermined goals, embracing a process shaped spontaneously by interactions with the people and places they encounter. Their practice is rooted in openness to chance, welcoming shifts and detours from the initial plan to the final form. From concept to installation, they respond to ever-changing circumstances, allowing the work to evolve in real time.
Their installations have been featured in the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennial (2018) and the Saitama International Art Festival (2023), among others.
