rinne
Formed in 2023, works in Tokyo
rinne is an interdisciplinary collective that conveys to society at large the importance of thinning forests, an act essential for forest conservation, through art and design while exploring new value for thinned wood produced in this process. People working in such diverse fields as interior design, fashion, and art direction come together with the goal of balancing creative efforts with solving social issues. They reexamine the relationship between nature and humans, explore futures in which we live in harmony with the environment, rediscover the potential of materials, and attempt to connect with society through practical pieces and projects.
