TAKANO Chisato
Born in Osaka Prefecture in 1998, where she lives
Graduated from the Department of Art and Design, Faculty of Literature, Arts and Cultural Studies, Kindai University (2021)
She creates three-dimensional pieces, installations, drawings, and zines using waste materials, construction materials, and ready-made products generated by the city. She is recently interested in the rare relationship between art and society that emerges when people interact with outdoor installation pieces, and has been conducting art projects. Using waste materials collected from the local area in her pieces to create shared memories of the place, shared memories of the object, and a shared space weaves together time to create new human connections, where the lives and thoughts of different people are connected across time, and where people with different ideas emerge through a project to take action and build new relationships. It is out of desire to immerse herself in these moments that she creates her art.
